...The reaction conditions were 460-520°C and 50 atm. Later, in 1967, the rheniforming method was invented. This method kills two birds with one stone by adding a small amount of rhenium in addition to platinum, which means that the catalytic activity is hardly reduced even under low hydrogen partial pressure (10-20 atm). This suppresses the hydrocracking reaction, improves the yield of catalytic reformed gasoline, and reduces the construction and operating costs of the equipment.
