Kitabalayn (English spelling)

…He was the teacher of Shibawayh, who left behind the oldest Arabic grammar book. He also left behind the first Arabic dictionary, the Kitāb al‐'ayn. He was also well versed in ancient Arabic poetry, and discovered 15 of the 16 types of rhyme that it contained, paving the way for the study of rhyme.
