...After defeating these forces, in the late 1960s, he took measures to solidify his position as an absolute monarch. One manifestation of this was that he appointed Shaykh Mubārak and his two sons Abul Faiz Faizi and Abul Fazl as his close aides and had them theoretically defend his rule. He also attempted to reform the military system that had inherited the traditions of the Central Asian tribes since Babur and Humayun, and to create a new Mughal military system that incorporated the Rajput army as its main force.
