strategy of nuclear deterrence

...For this deterrence to be effective, three conditions are considered important: capability, cost, and intention. (1) The enemy must be convinced that we are capable of taking the action, (2) We must let the enemy know that the damage (cost) of taking the action is greater than the benefit he will gain, and (3) We must have the intention to act as we claim. A strategy based on this idea of ​​deterrence is called a nuclear deterrence strategy, and it aims to deter the outbreak of a large-scale war by demonstrating the strength of the nuclear retaliatory power of the nuclear superpowers, prevent nuclear war between the nuclear superpowers, and further deter the outbreak of localized conventional wars with small tactical nuclear weapons. The deterrence strategy not only deters war with the threat of using nuclear weapons, but also includes a crisis management policy to minimize damage if war breaks out.
