Sub-population

...Conceptually, we can recognize several regional populations that show continuous or discontinuous physiological and ecological characteristics as the geographical distribution of each biological species expands, and subspecies populations that have already progressed to the point of being considered subspecies, and we can even imagine a species population that includes all of these. In fisheries science, regional populations that show physiological and ecological differences are often called subpopulations. In the case of humans, the word population is usually used rather than population, and in this case it mainly refers to the number of individuals.
