…Located on the south coast of the Cornish peninsula, it is famous as a coastal resort because of its warm climate all year round. It was established in 1968 by merging the towns of Paignton and Brixham with the autonomous city of Torquay at its core. Torquay and Paignton are resort towns, while Brixham is a fishing port and was the landing place of William III during the Glorious Revolution in 1688.
