…シャコを含むシャコ科とこれにごく近いものでは，アリマalima型幼生と呼ばれ，体は細長く，短く幅広い背甲をもつが，他の口脚類のものでは，エリクタスerichthus型幼生と呼ばれ，体は少し幅広く，細長く幅狭い背甲をもつ。互いに異なった幼生型を示すが，両型とも5回ほどの脱皮の後には，共通な最後の幼生期のシンゾエアsynzoea期となり，顎脚，歩脚，腹肢なども成体によく似た形となる。この後，底生性のストマトポディトstomatopodit期となり，背甲のとげが消えて，しだいに成体に近づく。…
