TIROS - Tyros
Weather satellite launched by the United States. Tiros stands for television and infrared observation satellite. The first satellite, launched on April 1, 1960, was the world's first weather satellite. Since then, Tiros has been launched up to Tiros 10, which was launched in July 1965.
