Paulownia wooden clogs - Kirigeta
A regional brand of the Hokuriku, Koshinetsu region, Nagano prefecture.
They are produced in Sakae Village, Shimominochi County. Sakae Village, located on the border between Nagano and Niigata Prefectures, is one of the snowiest areas in Japan, and is famous for producing high-quality Hokuetsu Paulownia, which is light and hard. Paulownia, which grows under the harsh conditions of snowy regions, is excellent for use as material for chests and geta. For this reason, geta have been produced in Sakae Village for about 100 years. They are well-known for their comfort. A traditional craft of Nagano Prefecture.

Kirigeta

A regional brand of Chiba Prefecture in the Kanto region.
It is made in Narita City. It is known for its geta, called Dojima, worn by monks at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and Toshoji Sogo Reido. In addition, openwork decorations are used on pokkuri for the Shichi-Go-San ceremony. It is a traditional craft of Chiba Prefecture.

Kirigeta

A regional brand of Ehime prefecture, Shikoku region.
They are made in Uchiko Town, Kita District. Paulownia geta made in Uchiko Town developed from the end of the Meiji period to the beginning of the Showa period. They are characterized by the curves on both sides of the geta, called sori. They are a traditional specialty of Ehime Prefecture.

下水内郡栄村で製作されている。長野県と新潟県の県境にある栄村一帯は全国有数の豪雪地帯で、軽くて固い良質な北越桐の生産地として有名。雪国の厳しい条件下で育つ桐は、箪笥材や下駄材として優れる。そのため栄村ではおよそ100年にわたり下駄の生産が続けられてきた。履き心地のよさに定評がある。長野県伝統的工芸品。

関東地方、千葉県の地域ブランド。
成田市で製作されている。成田山新勝寺や東勝寺宗吾霊堂の僧侶が履く堂島と呼ばれる下駄で知られる。また、七五三用のポックリなどには透かし彫りの装飾がほどこされる。千葉県伝統的工芸品。

桐下駄[木工]
きりげた

四国地方、愛媛県の地域ブランド。
喜多郡内子町で製作されている。内子町で製造される桐下駄は、明治時代末期頃から昭和時代初期にかけ発展した。そりと呼ばれる下駄の湾曲が左右にも入っているのが特徴。愛媛県伝統的特産品。
