Minamoto no Kanemasa
?-? A government official and poet in the late Heian period.
The second son of Uda Genji and Minamoto no Shunsuke. He was a Junior Fifth Rank and a Daishin (senior officer) to the Empress's Court. He was active in the poetry circles of Emperor Horikawa, and was known to have contributed poems up until the "Sumiyoshi Poetry Contest" in 1128. He has seven poems in the imperial anthologies, including the "Kin'yō Wakashu" and others.
[Proverbs, etc.] The Suma barrier guard was kept awake for many nights by the cries of the plovers passing through Awaji Island ("Ogura Hyakunin Isshu").

宇多源氏,源俊輔の次男。従五位下,皇后宮大進。堀河院歌壇で活躍,大治(だいじ)3年(1128)の「住吉歌合」まで出詠がみられる。勅撰集には「金葉和歌集」以下に7首はいる。
