...Small terracotta objects (human figures and lion heads) have also been excavated from this site. From the late Kassite period onwards, Babylonia began to produce stone sculptures called kudurru. Symbols of gods (such as the sun, moon, thunderbolts, or animals), human figures, etc. were carved in relief on the surface of oblong stone blocks, and inscriptions were also carved into them.
