Tokihiko Okada

A film actor. His real name was Eiichi Takahashi. He was born in Tokyo. He entered the Taisho Katsuei Film Company's acting training school in 1920 (Taisho 9) and made his debut in "Amateur Club" (1920). After working for the Eiga Geijutsu Kyokai and Makino Films, he joined Nikkatsu Film Company, where he appeared in such masterpieces as "Paper Dolls: Whispers of Spring" (1926) and "Five Women Around Him" ​​(1927). With his beautiful appearance and delicate sensibility, he took the world by storm as a handsome star. He later appeared in "Tokyo Chorus" (1931) and "Waterfall White Thread" (1933) for Shochiku and other companies, but died at the age of 30. He is the father of actress Mariko Okada.

映画俳優。本名高橋英一。東京生まれ。1920年（大正9）大正活映の俳優養成所に入り、『アマチュア倶楽部(くらぶ)』（1920）でデビューした。映画芸術協会、マキノ映画を経て日活へ入社、『紙人形春の囁(ささや)き』（1926）、『彼をめぐる五人の女』（1927）など名作に出演した。美しい風貌(ふうぼう)と繊細な感覚の持ち主で、二枚目スターとして一世を風靡(ふうび)した。のち松竹など各社で『東京の合唱』（1931）、『滝の白糸』（1933）などに出演したが、30歳で死去。女優岡田茉莉子(まりこ)の父である。
