Khors

[Origin of the Gods]
The Primary Chronicle (also known as the Tale of Bygone Years) is one of the few records that tells us that a pantheon of pagan gods existed in the 10th century in the Eastern Slavs. It lists the names of Perun, the god of thunder, Veles (Volos), the god of livestock and wealth, Dazh'bog and Khors as sun gods, Svarog, the god of fire, Stribog, the god of wind, Mokosh', the patron god of women's labor, and Semargl, the seven-headed god, and it is written that idols of these gods were erected on a hill in Kiev by Vladimir, the Grand Prince of Kiev. Of these, Stribog is thought to have origins in the Indo-European language group, Horus is connected to the Egyptian sun god, and Mokosh, who was widely present among the Slavs, is thought to date back to a goddess of the Finnic peoples.
