Khōzestān (English spelling) Khozestan

…Southwestern Iran, a region on the lower reaches of the Qarun River. Khuzestan is the Arabic name, and in Persian Khōzestan is the current name of the province. It is bordered by the Iraqi border to the west, the eastern coast of the head of the Persian Gulf to the south, and the Zagros Mountains to the northeast.
