Grew up in a very literary and closed-off family, with four of his eleven siblings being writers. Graduated from Cambridge University. His works are based on a unique pantheistic mysticism of good nature and evil humans, and are famous for his fantastic novels such as “The Tree and the Stone” (1915), “Dagdame” (1925), and “The Wolf of Solent” (1929), which are filled with savage and savage characters in the style of “Wuthering Heights.” …
