Kensington Gardens

…A park in London, England. Its total area is 361 acres (146 ha), but it is a large park of over 600 acres (243 ha) that is connected to Kensington Gardens (the gardens of Kensington Palace, which includes a memorial to Prince Albert) on the west side, separated by a long, curved pond called the Serpentine. It was originally the property of Westminster Abbey, but Henry VIII made it a royal hunting ground, and from the time of Charles I it became a recreational spot.
