The diary of Odate Hisauji (Buddhist name Tsuneoki), a close vassal of the Muromachi Shogunate. The portion that remains today spans from 1538 (Tenbun 7) to 1542 (with some parts missing), making it the final years of Tsuneoki's life when he was nearly 80 years old. Tsuneoki was not only a close attendant to the Shogun, but was also well-versed in court etiquette and customs, and played an important role in political circles. The diary contains meticulous records of the activities of the Shogun and those around him, records of councils, and articles on the territories in which the Odate clan was involved, making it a valuable historical document from this period.
