…In 1829, he held the Marburg Conference with Luther and attempted to achieve Protestant unification, but failed due to disagreement on the issue of the Eucharist. Based on his prophetic consciousness, he acted as a person responsible not only for the salvation of people's souls but also for social peace and political oversight, and fought against Catholic forces in Switzerland, dying in October 1831 at the Battle of Kappel near Zurich. His successor, Bullinger, inherited and developed Zwingliism, and had a major influence on the Reformation movement in Eastern Europe and England. …
