Akimoto Minosuke

…Originally it means apple wine (cider), but in Japan, since the early Meiji period, it has been used to refer to a carbonated drink made with apple essence, called champagne cider. In 1899, Akimoto Minosuke of Yokohama released Kinsen Cider, and in 1904 it was bottled in glass bottles with crown caps. After that, carbonated drinks with almost the same ingredients bottled in glass bottles with balls came to be known as Ramune, and drinks with crown caps came to be known as Cider. Since then, Mitsuya Cider was released in 1907, Ribbon Citron in 1908, and Kirin Lemon in 1928, and currently, drinks made with citrus essence, especially lemon essence, have been used. …

…本来はリンゴ酒(シードル)を意味する英語であるが，日本では明治初年以来シャンペン･サイダーと呼ぶリンゴ系のエッセンスを用いた炭酸飲料をこの名で呼んでいた。1899年横浜の秋元巳之助が〈金線サイダー〉を発売，1904年これを王冠栓のガラスびん入りにしてからは，ほぼ同じ成分の炭酸飲料を玉入りガラスびんに詰めたものをラムネ，王冠栓を用いたものをサイダーと通称するようになった。以後，07年に三ツ矢サイダー，08年にリボンシトロン，28年にキリンレモンが発売され，現在では，かんきつ，とくにレモン系のエッセンスを用いたものになっている。…
