Oboke and Koboke - Oboke and Koboke

Japanese:
Oboke and Koboke - Oboke and Koboke
A gorge on the Yoshino River in western Tokushima Prefecture. The Yoshino River flows east from Kochi Prefecture and crosses the Shikoku Mountains, flowing north to form a horizontal valley for about 20 km. Boki and Boke are names for cliffs in the mountains, and the character for collapse is also used. Both banks of this area are bordered by mountains about 1000 m above sea level, and there used to be a small path connecting them. Five km south of Awa-Kawaguchi Station on the Dosan Line, which opened along the riverbank in 1935, is Koboke, and another four km to Oboke, and the area between them is particularly beautiful. Oboke is masculine with many strangely shaped rocks and bizarre stones and a deep pool, while Koboke is feminine with few exposed rocks and small strangely shaped rocks.
