Inō (English spelling)

…When Zeus fell in love with her and gave birth to a child, his wife Hera, jealous of her, deceived her and asked Zeus, who had the power of thunder, to visit her in his original form as a god. She was struck by lightning and burned to death, but Zeus took the baby from her womb, sewed it into his own thigh, and waited until the baby was born. Dionysus was first entrusted to Ino, the daughter of Cadmus. However, Hera drove Ino mad, so Zeus had him secretly transported to Nyssa (a mythical place whose location is unknown) and had the nymphs there raise him. …

From the Theban Legend

…His wedding with Harmonia was a grand affair, with all the gods present and blessing, but many of his daughters met unfortunate ends. These included Semele, who gave birth to Dionysus despite dying after being struck by Zeus' thunderbolt; Agau, who tore her son Pentheus to pieces (see Euripides' tragedy, The Bacchae); and Ino, who threw herself into the sea to die. The Acropolis of Thebes was called Kadmeia after Cadmus, and Babylonian cylinder seals have been unearthed there in recent years, proving that there was contact with the East.

Japanese:
