(1) The title of a dance from the Kōwaka-mai. The first recorded performance was in 1498 (Meiō 7). The author is unknown. Tada Mitsunaka (Minamoto Mitsunaka) had his daughter Bijōgozen ascend to Nakayama-dera (Kawabe-gun, Settsu Province), but she only imitated sleight of hand, sumo, and strength training, and was violent; she never paid any attention to the scriptures or learning. A few years later, Mitsunaka sent a servant named Fujiwara Nakamitsu to summon Bijōgozen down and have her recite the sutras, but she was unable to read a single word. Angered, Mitsunaka gave strict orders to Nakamitsu to kill Bijōgozen by hand.

(1)幸若舞の曲名。上演記録の初出は1498年(明応7)。作者不明。多田満仲(源満仲（みつなか）)は子の美女御前（びじよごぜん）を中山寺(摂津国川辺郡)に登らせたが，早業，相撲，力業などのまねごとをし，乱暴ばかり働いて，いっこうに経典や学問に心を向けなかった。数年たって，満仲は藤原仲光という郎等を使いに立て，美女御前を呼び下ろして経文を読ませるが少しも読めない。怒った満仲は仲光に美女御前を手討ちにするよう厳命する。
