In research from this perspective, for example, in the case of phonology, research into the vowel system has revealed that there exists an implicational law between oral vowels and nasal vowels, which states that the existence of the latter presupposes the existence of the former. In other words, while there are languages ​​that have only oral vowels, there are no languages ​​that have only nasal vowels, and it is known that in cases where both are present, the number of oral vowels is always greater.
