…The “Tria Kephalaia” (Three Chapters) refers to the persons and works of three theologians who were accused of Nestorian heresy during the 6th century Monophysite controversy: the person and work of Theodore of Mopsuestia, Theodoret’s refutation of Cyril of Alexandria, and a letter from Ibas, Bishop of Edessa (r. 435-457), to a Persian bishop, Maris.
