Husayn b. Talāl (English spelling)

On July 20, 1951, King Abd Allah was assassinated at the entrance to the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and his eldest son, Talāl, took the throne. Soon after, King Talāl abdicated due to ill health, and in August 1952, King Talāl's eldest son, Ḥusayn b. Talāl (also known as Hussein. Reigned 1952-), ascended to the throne.
