The English ho-spy is so named because the ghost is called a spy, and murder is a modern version of hide-and-seek, incorporating an interrogation style taken from detective novels. In China, there are games similar to hide-and-seek, such as Timeihu, Meizang, Mei, Tsubo Bing Bing, Mo Si Er, and Zang Mo, and in Mongolia there is a game called Tarbaka.
