Oshinosho - Oosato no sho

Japanese: 大忍荘 - おおさとのしょう

This manor is located in the eastern part of Kami County, Tosa Province (present-day Monobe Village and Kagami Town, Kochi Prefecture). It was established as a manor from the ancient Ooshingo, and the details of the establishment and inheritance of land are unclear due to a lack of historical documents from the feudal lord, but during the Kamakura period, it was connected to the Hojo clan, Gokuraku-ji Temple, the Arisugawa clan, and Kumano Shrine, and during the early Nanboku-cho period, it was controlled by the construction fee office of Kumano Shingu, and during the Muromachi period, it is assumed to have been controlled by the Hosokawa clan and Rinzai sect temples in Kyoto. This vast frontier manor stretching from the Awa border to Tosa Bay is divided into three parts: the plains where the mandokoro was located, Yamakita, Yamanami, Tokuoji, and Kishimoto, the hilly terrain of Higashikawa and Nishikawa, and the mountainous area of Makiyama, and in Higashikawa, Nishikawa, and Makiyama, each had its own dedicated official in charge of local manor affairs.

土佐国香美郡東部(現，高知県物部村，香我美（かがみ）町)の荘園。古代の大忍郷が荘園化したもので，領主史料を欠くため立荘･伝領の事情はよくわからないが，鎌倉時代に北条氏，極楽寺，有栖川家，熊野社との関係がみられ，南北朝初期には熊野新宮の造営料所，室町に入っては細川氏，京都の臨済宗寺院の支配が想定される。阿波国境から土佐湾に至る広大な辺境型荘園である当荘は，平野部で政所の置かれた山北･山南･徳王子･岸本，丘陵性地形の東川･西川，山岳地帯である槙山に三分され，東川･西川･槙山では各専当職が現地の荘務に当たった。
