A town in Futaba County, central Hamadori, eastern Fukushima Prefecture. Kumamachi, the town's center, is a former post station on the Rikuzenhama Kaido highway and lies along the Joban Line. In addition to rice and livestock farming, the town also cultivates fruit trees, vegetables, and shiitake mushrooms. Otozawa is home to the Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (currently out of power generation due to a radioactive material leak in March 2011).
