Michael Addition - Michael Fuca

Also known as Michael addition. A reaction in which a compound with an active methylene group is added to a highly polar C=C bond using a base such as sodium ethoxide or piperidine as a catalyst. For example, ethyl acetoacetate is added to acrylonitrile in the presence of sodium ethoxide as follows:

ミカエル付加ともいう．ナトリウムエトキシド，ピペリジンなどの塩基を触媒として，活性メチレン基をもつ化合物を極性の大きなC=C結合に付加させる反応．たとえば，アセト酢酸エチルは，ナトリウムエトキシドの存在でアクリロニトリルに次のように付加する．
