The term "environmental regulation" refers to the regulation of the growth of plants and animals by artificially creating or partially modifying the aboveground or underground environment that surrounds them, primarily the physical and chemical environment. The growth of plants and animals is closely related to the environment that surrounds them. There are two types of environment: the physical and chemical environment and the biological environment (created by the target organism itself or by other organisms). The physical and chemical environment often changes with the seasons, such as the amount of light, day length, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric condition or composition.
