[Phassianthus]
The order Galliformes consists of 242 species from six families: Pectiniidae, Curacidae, Ptarmiganidae, Phasianidae, Guineafowlidae, and Meleagrisidae, but some scholars group the Ptarmigan family and below into the Phasianidae family. The Hoatzinidae, which was once classified as a family in the order Galliformes, is now thought to be closely related to the Lesser Cuckoos.
