A genus of fungi and fungi imperfecti. It grows by budding and forms pseudohyphae. It is rich in hydrolytic enzymes. When antibiotics are used for bacterial infections, it can cause infection (subculture), inflammation, and abscesses in the mucous membranes, skin, bronchi, lungs, intestines, and urinary tract, and can even cause death. 真菌類，不完全菌類の一属。分芽によって増殖し，仮性菌糸をつくる。加水分解酵素に富む。細菌感染症に抗生物質を用いた場合など粘膜，皮膚，気管支，肺，腸，尿路などに感染（菌交代症），炎症，膿瘍(のうよう)の原因となり，死ぬこともある。この病原性を示す種はほとんどカンジダ・アルビカンス。→肺カンジダ症
