...Other species of unknown and rare trees are also called Nanjamonja in various places, such as the Holt tree in the grounds of Jinmu-ji Temple in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. C. virginica L. (fringe-tree), native to southeastern North America, is also used as a garden tree. When the branches are filled with flowers, it is even more magnificent than the C. virginica L., and is considered one of the most beautiful flowering trees native to North America.
