Japanese: 大商蛭子島 - おおあきないひるがこじま

Kabuki Kyogen. Historical piece. Four acts. Written by Sakurada Jisuke I and Masuyama Kinpachi I. It premiered as Kaomise Kyogen at the Nakamuraza Theater in Edo in November 1784 (Tenmei 4). The cast includes Sawamura Sojuro III as Kawazu Sukeyasu and Minamoto no Yoritomo, Ichikawa Danjuro V as Matano Kagehisa, Mongaku, and Hojo Tokimasa, Otani Hiroemon III as Ito Sukechika, Nagao Tamekage, and Nagata Kagemune, Nakamura Satoyoshi I as Kamata Masakiyo's daughter Kiyotaki, Yamashita Manki I as Hojo's daughter Masako, Mimasu Tokujiro I as Ito's daughter Tatsuhime, and others. The first act (first three acts) depicts the world of the Izu Diary, with the story up to the death of Kawazu Sukeyasu, which is the beginning of the Soga brothers' revenge story, and the second act (fourth act) up to Minamoto no Yoritomo's uprising to pursue the Heike.

歌舞伎狂言。時代物。4幕。初世桜田治助･増山金八らの作。1784年(天明4)11月江戸中村座の顔見世狂言として初演。配役は河津祐安･源頼朝を3世沢村宗十郎，股野景久･文覚･北条時政を5世市川団十郎，伊藤祐親･長尾為景･長田景宗を3世大谷広右衛門，鎌田正清娘清滝を初世中村里好，北条娘政子を初世山下万菊，伊藤娘辰姫を初世三枡徳次郎ほか。一番目(前3幕)に曾我兄弟の仇討物語の発端である河津祐安の落命までを，二番目(4幕目)に源頼朝の平家追討の挙兵までを主題材とした〈伊豆日記〉の世界を描いた作。
