Mysterium

...His works have a context in which the artist begins with an invitation to mysticism, gradually enters a state of ecstasy and trance, and finally attains liberation at the peak. He also foreshadowed mixed media, using a colored organ in "Prométhée, le poème de feu" (1910), and in his unfinished "Mystery Play," which he conceived in 1903, he incorporated dance and fragrance in addition to colored lights, aiming to realize a mystical event rather than a comprehensive art form. His piano Sonatas Nos. 6 to 10 and "Faced by the Flame" (1914) are also well known.
