Fitch

…They tend to be nocturnal, but not as nocturnal as their ancestor, the European polecat, and are active during the day. They were introduced to New Zealand in the 19th century and have become feral, and are hunted for their fine fur, known as the fitch. They are also widely used as laboratory animals.
