1. A glacier that develops over a vast area. It is found in Antarctica and Greenland, and is over 1,000 meters thick. Regardless of the land topography, the ice fills the lowlands, forming an ice field as a whole. It gradually moves toward the coast, and at its end becomes an iceberg. Continental glacier.
