Wang Bi - Wang Bi

A scholar from the Wei dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period in China. His pen name was Fusi. He was from Shanyang (Jiaozuo City, Henan Province). Together with He Yan, he is the founder of the Xuanxue school of thought in the Wei-Jin dynasty. His works include Commentaries on the Tao Te Ching (Laozi Dao Do Tong Ching), Laozi Zhi Lue (Laozi's Commentaries on the Book of Changes), Commentaries on the Book of Changes in ... His philosophy, as shown in "Taking nothingness as the origin" (Commentary on the Tao Te Ching by Laozi), "All things and forms return to oneness. From what source does this unity come? From nothingness" (Commentary on the Tao Te Ching by Laozi), and "Raising up the origin and governing the end" (Commentary on the Analects of Confucius), respects the one nothingness that is at the root of all phenomena and controls them. This idea also influenced the interpretation of wisdom by Zhu Daosheng (?-434) of the Southern Song Dynasty.
