Bimolecular reaction - nibunshihannou (English spelling) bimolecular reaction

Bimolecular reaction - nibunshihannou (English spelling) bimolecular reaction
When classifying chemical reactions by the number of molecules in the reaction, this refers to an elementary reaction of the form that involves two molecules. Depending on whether the two molecules are the same or different, it is expressed as A + A- → C or A + B- → D. For example, the reaction 2HI ⇄ H2 + I2 is a bimolecular reaction in both the forward and reverse reactions. In actuality, when a reaction occurs due to collisions between two molecules, and the number of collisions is proportional to the product of the concentrations of each component, it becomes a second-order reaction with a rate equation expressed as v = k [A] 2 or v = k [A][B]. Here, k is a proportionality constant, known as the rate constant.

Japanese:
2個の分子が同種か異種かに応じてA+A―→CまたはA+B―→Dのように表される。
