El Mundo (English spelling)

Castro took over power in 1960, he took over the two major Havana newspapers, El Mundo (founded in 1901) and Prensa Libre (founded in 1941), and used them as revolutionary newspapers. On April 5, 1969, he merged El Mundo with Granma, and this newspaper remains the face of revolutionary Cuba and the Castro regime to this day.
