…While working on urban planning in the Middle East, he published his own urban theories in his journal Ekistics and in his books. He proposed future urban forms, such as the Dynapolis concept, which would lead the axis of urban development in one direction and control growth, and the Ecumenopolis theory, which describes the path by which urban expansion would reach the entire globe and reach a stable, static state. His major works include Ekistic Analysis (1946), The New World of Urban Man (1965, translated into Japanese the same year), and Entopia (1966, translated into Japanese in 1967). …
