Wang Weiyi (English spelling)

Japanese: 王惟一 - おういいつ（英語表記）Wáng Wéi yī

A medical officer who became the Minister of Medicine during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty in China (1022-63). His birth and death years are unknown. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment had already reached a state of perfection at that time, but the various schools of thought did not agree on the number or location of acupuncture points. Under Emperor Renzong's orders, he examined the various theories, and in 1027 (the 5th year of Tensei; also called 1026), he cast a bronze human model, indicated the locations of acupuncture points on its surface, and at the same time wrote the Bronze Man Acupuncture and Moxibustion Chart. 中国，宋の仁宗の治世(1022‐63)に尚薬奉御になった医官。生没年は不明。鍼灸治療は当時すでに完成の域に達していたが，諸家によって経穴の数も位置も一致していなかった。かれは仁宗の命を受けて諸家の説を検討し，1027年(天聖5。1026年ともいう)に銅製の人体模型を鋳造して，その表面に経穴の位置を示し，同時に《銅人腧穴鍼灸図経》を著した。その後の鍼灸学説はすべてかれの説をもととしている。銅人【赤堀昭】
