...They mainly live on the forest floor of tropical rainforests, have little jumping ability, and have special suction cup-like fingertips. The spotted poison dart frog, Dendrobates auratus , is often kept in captivity in Japan. There are also known species of the Dendrobates and Phyllobates genera in which males attach larvae to their backs and protect them until they develop.
