In a Greek tragic love story, when Demophon placed Phyllis's tomb in the hollow of an almond tree for her lover Demophon, who died of longing before his return, Demophon miraculously brought flowers into bloom all at once, and since then, almonds have become a symbol of immortal love. The flower's meanings are "purity" and "fertility," and in France it means "happy marriage." …
