...As equestrian nomads, they excelled in horse breeding, and the horses of the Nyssa region in particular were famous in the ancient world. Herodotus identifies Deioks as the founder of the Median Empire, whose capital was Ecbatana. It is believed that Dajaukku, who was captured as a rebel leader by Sargon II of Assyria in 715 BC and exiled to Syria, was Deioks.
