…Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1939. During World War II, his rebellious spirit led him to develop experimental theater that evaded the eyes of the occupying authorities, and in 1956 he formed the New Generation Artists Group and founded the experimental theater Cricot 2 in the same city. After working on seven unprecedented happening plays in Eastern Europe from 1965 to 1969, he attracted worldwide attention in the late 1970s with his avant-garde play The Classroom of Death, inspired by the works of B.
