Corticosteroids

…A general term for steroid hormones produced and secreted by the adrenal cortex, including synthetic substances with the same action, also called corticoids or corticosteroids. Adrenal cortical hormones include the glucocorticoids cortisol and cortisone, the mineralocorticoids aldosterone, and the adrenal androgens dehydroepiandrosterone and androstenedione.
