Cornhusker State

...The state is a transitional region from the steppe climate in the west to the humid subtropical climate in the east, with pasture farming in the west and corn farming in the east (fourth in the U.S. in 1980). The state is also known as the Cornhusker State, but it has also been called the Beef State. The state is primarily rural and has very few large cities, with Omaha, the largest, being a distribution center for agricultural and livestock products.
