Procurement Implementation Headquarters - Chotatsujisshihonbu

Japanese: 調達実施本部 - ちょうたつじっしほんぶ

It is one of the affiliated organizations of the Defense Agency established based on the Defense Agency Establishment Act. It was established in July 1954 as an organization to centralize the procurement of equipment and services necessary for the SDF to carry out its missions. Its parent organization was the First Staff Office (the predecessor of the Ground Staff Office), which was the central procurement organization of the National Safety Agency (the predecessor of the Defense Agency), and was reorganized by adding the procurement functions of the Second Staff Office (the predecessor of the Maritime Staff Office). With the establishment of this headquarters, the central procurement operations of the Ground, Maritime, and Air Self-Defense Forces were centralized.

防衛庁設置法に基づき設置された防衛庁の付属機関の一つ。自衛隊の任務遂行に必要な装備品等および役務の調達を一元的に実施する機関として1954年7月に設置された。その母体は，保安庁(防衛庁の前身)の中央調達機構であった第一幕僚監部(陸上幕僚監部の前身)であり，これに第二幕僚監部(海上幕僚監部の前身)の調達機能を加え，所要の改編を行って組織されたものである。同本部の発足により，陸上，海上および航空自衛隊の中央調達業務が一元化されることとなった。
