…After the publication of the 14th edition (24 volumes, 1929), the company adopted a policy of continuous revision, and from 1936 onwards, it published a partially revised set every year. In addition, from 1948, it published the Britannica Book of the Year, which serves as a supplement to the encyclopedia. In 1974, the structure of the encyclopedia changed significantly, and it became a total of 30 volumes in three parts: the Propédia, a general overview that allows readers to systematically grasp the main encyclopedia's entries; the Micropédia, a small-item dictionary that also serves as an index; and the Macropédia, a large-item dictionary. …
